How: by using cloudflare & Mozilla's private, secure & sovereign decentralized cloud-hosted platform we connect individuals across streets and suburbs into independent local “forests.” without exposing risk, data or personal information publicly to strangers/hackers/corporations.
Websites & apps made under this umbrella aim to provide secure, privacy-focused, serverless and edge-hosted tools for communication, events and grassroots initiatives/services.
The project positions itself as an alternative to mainstream social media, emphasizing community independence, privacy, transparency and human liberty to privacy : instead of risking data mining/theft & intrusive information gathering/profiling of social media
Meta apps such as WhatsApp/Facebook/Instagram all use your data to sell for misuse & marketing. We dont collect/store any of your details unless you want to - in your own community space online, here

Looking to learn how to climb, improve your technique, or simply have someone experienced alongside you while you climb? Forest of Pines offers climbing coaching at City Rock Randburg, Johannesburg, for adults and children who want to discover the challenge, excitement, and fitness of indoor rock climbing. Sessions can include an experienced adult or belay partner (Daniel Jacobs, and other experienced and appropriately qualified indoor climbing and safety partners) accompanying you throughout your climb. All climbing is monitored, and City Rock Randburg supplies the climbing ropes and required safety equipment. Before participating, all climbers must complete the required City Rock Randburg waiver and follow their safety rules and procedures.
You can book a three-hour coaching session or arrange a monthly coaching rate. Your coach can be more than your belay partner: they can help you develop climbing technique, movement, strength, balance, problem-solving, confidence, and the skills needed to climb safely and progressively. Climbing is a fantastic way for children and adults to exercise while having fun, face challenges, and grow in confidence. Every route becomes a problem to solve—with your body, your thinking, and your persistence. The goal isn't simply to reach the top; it's to learn how to approach challenges, train your physical abilities, think differently, and discover what you're capable of.
